Starting 2010, CL3 is entering a new chapter, playing a more important role in furthering HKUST's higher education mission with a focus on programs relating to 3-3-4, outreach and student development. Consequently, the Admiralty Learning Center will cease to operate from December 2009 as the operation will be consolidated back to the main campus in Clear Water Bay.

Programs and courses currently in progress will continue until they are completed. After that, these programs will not be offered again as our resources will be re-deployed. Courses that go beyond December 2009 will be held at the Clear Water Bay campus or at rented downtown centers.

All services for CL3 alumni, such as request for transcript and program information about further studies, will continue to be provided at the UST main campus.

August 2008 CL3 successfully completed the Institutional Review of Joint Quality Review Committee (JQRC) commissioned by the Head of Universities Committee (HUCOM) and received positive feedback and identification of good practices.

In its report, JQRC concluded that CL3 has set up an appropriate quality assurance system for the approval and monitoring of programs, and has sufficient involvement in governance and supervision from the senior management of the University Proper. JQRC also acknowledged that comments from students and graduates regarding programs offered by CL3 are generally positive. The Institutional Review Panel identified evidence of good management responsiveness to feedback from teachers and students for improving course delivery, and was impressed by the students' appreciation of CL3's programs.
